There isn’t one! Whilst there are many set elements to the job, there are also opportunities that present themselves on an hourly basis! It’s one of the reasons I love the business as much as I do in so much that there’s so much to do based on the stage we are at in our transformation. 

My day can go from being in meetings with the exec to meeting 1:1 with our amazing colleagues or working with suppliers on how we strengthen our trading proposition.

The colleagues I get to interact with on a day-to-day basis. Everyone is aligned behind our formula for growth and whilst its hard work and we aren’t yet seeing the fruits of our labour come through, it's only a matter of time.

Be open minded in the choices you make. I had a pretty firm view of the route I wanted my development to take. It didn’t go the way I planned it, but I got to experience so much more by being open minded and taking a few leaps into the unknown.

I think a lot of people (me included) joined ASDA at an early age not really knowing what they wanted to do in life, but quickly discovered a culture and set of values that naturally aligned. If you’re unsure then come and give it a go. Its rewarding, good fun and the people are awesome…..and hard work pays off.
