UX DesignerHead Office

UX Designer

This role requires on-site presence at Asda House in Leeds three days per week. We’re really looking forward to having you around!

UI-focused. Problem solver. Designing high-quality experiences that customers use every day.

This is a hands-on design role where you will contribute to high-quality digital experiences as part of a growing design team.

You’ll be part of a team of designers working across Asda’s digital estate, including Asda Groceries, George, Asda Rewards, and Money and Mobile, supporting improvements to core customer journeys.

You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, research, and business teams to design to deliver better customer experiences.

At Asda, we serve millions of customers every week, online, in-app, and in-store. Alongside that, George is one of the UK’s leading fashion brands, blending style, quality and value.

We’re on a mission to transform how customers shop, browse, and experience Asda and George digitally, and experience design is at the heart of that.

We’ve recently completed modernising our digital platforms, and our focus now is on improving the quality of the experience.

We’re building a high-performing UX team focused on improving craft and delivering better customer experiences. If you care about quality, attention to detail, and seeing your work in the hands of customers, this is your opportunity.

What you’ll do

  • Design intuitive, well-crafted experiences across digital products
  • Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-quality UI
  • Work across the end-to-end design process from discovery through to delivery
  • Apply and contribute to design systems and UI patterns
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Research to shape solutions
  • Use research and data to inform design decisions
  • Take part in peer reviews and feedback to improve design quality
  • Contribute to improving how design is done across the team

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong UI design skills with attention to detail and interaction quality
  • Experience designing digital products, ideally for web, app and ecommerce experiences
  • Understanding of UX processes from discovery through to delivery
  • Experience using tools such as Figma and working across low- and high-fidelity prototyping
  • Experience using research and data to inform design decisions, and clearly explain the rationale
  • Comfortable working in agile, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proactive and adaptable, comfortable taking ownership and working across different problems without close direction

Why join us:

  • Design experiences used by millions of customers every week
  • Work across Asda and George, two of the UK’s biggest grocery and fashion brands
  • Be part of a skilled and growing team

This position is open to flexible working / job share / part-time working.
