Our Inclusion Networks
We want every colleague to be confident being themselves here at Asda, and we know giving those colleagues a space to share their thoughts, and challenge the way we do things, is how we get there. So we can be a truly inclusive workplace.
Making sure every colleague has a space to find support. That’s more like it.
Every one of our colleagues is unique, with different skills, personalities, style, and perspectives. And together we make a great team, delivering our everything.
Our colleague-led inclusion networks, from our Accessibility, Ethnicity, LGBTQ+, and Women in Asda, to our Wellbeing Network, are all about giving them a space to share those perspectives. They’re led by our ten passionate co-chairs, who act as the voice of the community and take the topics and issues they discuss with their Network to our central ED&I team, to help us make changes and drive our strategy forward. We also have dedicated Executive Ambassadors actively supporting the Networks.
Our leaders catch up quarterly as members of the Inclusion Steering Group, to share what they’ve found during Network activities and what the Working Groups are prioritising. So we can make real change happen across the business.
Wellbeing at Asda
At Asda we are committed to supporting the wellbeing of our colleagues, and that starts with creating an environment where everyone feels able to talk openly about their wellbeing and knows where to turn to access further support. Along with our Wellbeing Inclusion Network, where colleagues can come together to connect, we also have an extensive learning offering designed to equip colleagues with the tools to care for their own wellbeing and that of their teams. One of the courses in our wellbeing curriculum, Supporting Colleague Mental Health, recently won the Mental Health and Wellbeing Award at the annual Business Disability Forum awards.
There's a real enthusiasm, real knowledge for this business and this brand, and a real passion to learn, develop and grow.

Raising awareness
Since they were created, the networks have been key in raising awareness and sparking important conversations and dialogue in our workplace. Because they give our colleagues a space to ask questions, share their thoughts and feedback, connect with other colleagues, and understand what support is available to them.
We also have closed connections groups, where our colleagues can find vital support when they need it most. The current groups include baby loss, carers, fertility, menopause, armed veterans, and gender identity – including trans, nonbinary and genderfluid.
Our Networks and connection groups are all about making sure nobody gets left behind here. So all our Networks keep all our colleagues up to date with the latest inclusion news, upcoming events, and activities they can join.
