Are you an experienced Penetration Tester with security-focused experience? Looking for a new challenge? Join us and work on one of the world's largest retail transformation programmes, Future.

Your Role

Asda Technology is looking for an experienced Penetration Testing SME to join our growing Information Security function. You'll be working within a team and you'll have a host of exciting work and projects to keep you very busy as we build out both our new and existing security proposition.

This is an incredibly exciting time in Asda Technology as our business enters a new phase in its history. This is a once-in-a-career opportunity, so you need to bring your A-game to work in an incredibly fast-paced and delivery focussed program. Asda is moving incredibly fast down following its recent ownership change and we need a technically skilled pen testing SME to ensure we're driving our fundamental principle of security-by-design.

Future' is the name for the programme that will see Asda create their new operating model, independent from Walmart.  Technology will undoubtedly be one of the most ambitious parts of this work - the technology decisions made will underpin the way the entire business will operate in the future.

About You

  • You can establish relationships with strategic partners to build Asda's pen testing program.
  • You are able to define scope of security testing based on the proposition under review to ensure that tests are completed to an appropriate depth and scope.
  • You can provide a detailed view on requiring remediation to the Risk & Vulnerability team for onward resolution.
  • You must be able to setup the appropriate people, processes and technology to provide clear guidance and governance to manage Asda's pen testing portfolio and keep it aligned to Asda's security compliance requirements.
  • You will ideally be a Certified Ethical Hacker [CEH] to both validate the quality of tests that are being performed and also to perform tests when required.
  • You understand security concepts deeply enough to engage with security technologists and communicate in an audience-appropriate language.
  • Bags of energy and enthusiasm.
  • You'll have great cloud experience in Azure, cloud offerings from other vendors
  • Agile experience is preferable as we're running at pace and Agile allows us to achieve this.
  • You'll need to be able to manage a heavy workload against challenging timelines.

If flexible working is important to you, then look no further! At Asda, we are proud of our culture and our commitment to flexible working. This role is based at Asda House, Leeds with the flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week

You will also get an excellent benefits package including:

  • Company car or £5,700 car allowance, plus discretionary company bonus
  • Company pension up to 7% matched
  • 10% colleague discount, free parking and many additional rewards.

We want all colleagues to be able to bring their best and true selves to work, every day. Simply put, we want our colleagues to be Proud to be Asda and proud to be themselves.
