I'm so excited to have joined the team at Asda. The opportunity to be a part of this crucial chapter in Asda's history is one that I couldn't resist, and having worked across with a number of Retail and Consumer businesses I can confidently say Asda's next few years will be truly unique. Our ambitious growth plans across all our channels will be powered by Digital and Technology as we seek to expand our online reach; become the fastest growing UK grocery; and make Asda even more convenient through our new format stores. We've had an opportunity that most retailers haven't, which is to completely re-build our Digital and Technology capability following 20+ years of Walmart ownership. This is an enormous challenge, but also an exciting opportunity and it is great to join the business at this pivotal moment. I've been lucky enough to be a part of many business transformations and am looking forward to bringing my experience in how Digital and Technology can power Asda's future for our customers and colleagues. We have a saying at Asda that "We'll bring brighter living within everyone's reach" and our Digital experiences have made this more possible than ever. It's now our job to make it happen!
