A career in Finance can offer many opportunities:

· Our Accounting teams enable you to build financial acumen and accounting knowledge to ensure the numbers present a true and fair reflection of the business.

· In our Commercial Finance teams, we work hand in hand with the business to understand the market and act in ways which will make a difference to our customers.

· Our Finance Centres of Excellence develop deep subject matter expertise in Tax, Treasury, Pensions Audit and Investor Relations

· We also have many project teams that lead the optimisation of Finance systems, processes and significant change initiatives.

On our 3-year Finance Graduate Programme, from day 1 you will be exposed to a fast paced, dynamic retail environment, exploring different areas of finance. Whilst studying for the CIMA management accounting qualification you’ll develop a wide range of accounting skills, whilst putting your new knowledge into practice.

You’ll be heavily supported throughout your studies by senior mentors, buddies, internal development and assigned time to complete both your learning modules and prepare for your exams.

This is an ambitious programme where you will progress at pace but equally be supported and rewarded throughout. By the end of the programme, you’ll have all the tools you need to step into a managerial position, but your development won’t stop there. Beyond this we will continue to support your development and progression at Asda.

It’s an amazing time to join with the Finance function being at the forefront of Asda’s transformation programme. We are progressing well to have new processes, bespoke systems, and a focus on customer insight to drive company performance and achieve our growth objectives.

As part of the graduate programme, successful candidates will also have the opportunity to complete a finance placement in the manufacturing side of our business, IPL, Forza and Kober where products are sourced from over 50 countries to ensure supply of fresh produce, wine, nuts, dried fruit, bacon, and cooked meats for our customers. The rotation will be based at IPL’s Manufacturing Head Office in Normanton, West Yorkshire (approx. 10 miles from Leeds).
