Central Fleet Operations ManagerStore Management

In this role you will be responsible for several key business factors, these include but are not exclusive:

  • Contract Management of the LNG Gas supply and Asda LNG station network

  • Management overseeing of the ALS estate liquid fuel supply is maintained.

  • Supplier payment review and alignment

  • ALS Large Fleet Business Plan generation and monthly execution

  • ALS suppliers spend review by supplier

  • ESG Annual submission (Environmental, Social, and Governance)

  • Q4/Q1 fleet plan submission and execution

Key Accountabilities:

LNG (Liquide Natural Gas) Account Management:

  • Contract Management of the LNG Gas supply and Asda LNG station network

  • Working closely with the two main LNG suppliers i.e., Gasrec and Vigo

  • ALS Liquide Fuel Supply:

  • Contract management of the service provider responsible for delivery and fuel stocks (FTL)

  • Ensuring sites have an optimal level of fuel stock, with enough ullage to accept deliveries. Reporting & escalating sites with no / low stock levels to Haulier teams daily.

  • Retail Fuel Supply Contract:

  • Through your direct report, ensure ownership of the Business-as-usual FTL relationship, to ensure no negative impact to store service & support with Issue resolution with all FTL Transport related concerns

  • ALS Large Fleet Business Plan Generation and execution:

  • Through your direct report, ensure annual ALS fleet BP is prepared and submitted by no later than Q3 each year

  • Through your direct reports, ensure the weekly, monthly and quarterly review of spend by supplier

  • Through your direct ALS Supplier Cost Analysis and alignment to Business Plan/Forecast

Invoice verification and approval for third party hauliers. Cross referencing terminal location data on a weekly and monthly basis.

  • Credit Processing

  • Quarterly FTL/Scania Reviews

  • New Kit Delivery

  • KPI Reporting

Ownership of ESG reporting for the Central Fleet Operations Team.

Annual Submission to the ASDA Sustainability & Carbon Trust required.

Q4/Q1 Fleet Plan:

  • Through your direct report, ensure annual Q4 fleet plan is prepared and submitted in advance of September each year. This involves:

  • Alignment of needs through key leads within the ALS estate (Northern and Southern GM leads)

  • Alignment of needs through National Planning Lead

  • Submit detailed plan of all movement costs for rental fleet collect and rental charges through the peak period

  • The annual securing of fleet through rental fleet providers (secured at least 12 months in advance of need)

  • Through your direct reports, ensure annual Q1 fleet plan is prepared and submitted in advance of November each year.

  • Submit detailed plan of all movement costs to de-hire and de-com old base fleet post Q4 peak

  • Close all De-Com costs by funder by no later than February Month end each year

Support the ASDA Central Fleet Operations Team when required with Ad hoc team asked and success.
