We guarantee interviews for people who have left service and meet the minimum criteria for a role, provide leave for reservists’ training, support for cadet training, and employment opportunities for their partners. Here in Asda Finance we’re making sure we don’t just ‘talk the talk’ but ‘walk the walk’ – by building a strong wellbeing and ED&I offering,
Founded in 2020, the Asda Finance Wellbeing group was initially all about supporting colleagues through the pandemic but, since then, it’s grown into a strong wellbeing agenda that spans an annual calendar of campaigns and events. All to make sure we’re keeping the conversation going on all aspects of wellbeing, physical, social, financial and emotional.
Our team runs a range of events, from team meeting downloads, written tips and information, to in person workshops and external speakers. We also regularly run Wellbeing surveys to touch base with how our colleagues are feeling. And we take those thoughts and feelings into our regular wellbeing-focused meetings, so we can discuss any issues. And take action to better support our colleagues.
Analysing problems and proposing innovative solutions, our Finance teams make everything add up with in-depth industry knowledge, and bring projects that make a real impact across the business.
‘The Grocer’ recently awarded us 2023 Online Supermarket of the year, recognising the achievement and engagement of over 10,000 ecommerce colleagues and the Online Finance team. We also won the Yorkshire and the Humber Accountancy Awards 2024 Best Employer of the Year.
Not only have we been recognised by external bodies, we’ve had great feedback from our external business stakeholders too.
“Having worked with Asda for many years in my role, I have always been impressed with the quality of their Finance Colleagues and how engaged they are in creating value for both Asda and their Partners."

We even head to off-site sessions together, where we focus on developing skills we can take into our everyday work.
Here at Asda, we think that the best way to work is to do it where it works best. That’s why all of our teams who are able to work from home, work with each other to figure out a pattern that works for you all, and the business needs. So you can get the most out of work, whether that’s at home, the office, or both.
