Are you passionate about understanding customer needs and delivering brands that they love?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manager for Own Brand Strategy to join our highly energetic, customer driven Own Brand team. Reporting into the Senior Director for Own Brand Strategy you will be responsible for developing new Own Brand strategic Brand propositions and growth plans aligned to changing customer needs and business strategy whilst leading and motivating a team of Brand Managers.


The Role

You will work cross-functionally to define, develop and deliver new Own Brands as well as strategically manage existing ones. You will set clear intent, direction, objectives and guardrails as well as effectively communicating performance to a number of different stakeholders at all levels

You will develop Own Brand strategies aligned to 6 P's - People, Product, Promoting, Place, Price, Packaging. You will strategically influence how our Own Brands show up to customers creatively in line with guidelines.

You will leverage insight, internal and external network and global trend portals to keep up with changing customer needs and market including technological advancement, exploring new channels. You will review and monitor performance, customer feedback and consumer trends to ensure we remain on track and realign where required.

You will engage with Senior Leaders across the business to ensure strategic alignment and be an Own Brand Ambassador - living and breathing the Asda Brand and it's Own Brands.


About You

  • Degree level or Equivalent, desirable Marketing degree
  • A visionary, dynamic and delivery focused Senior Manager with a proven track record of delivering propositions which engage, motivate and inspire customers
  • A proven track record in a Senior Brand Strategy role
  • A strategic thinker, able to analyse data, insight and create propositions and strategies for growth
  • Extensive experience in launching and strategically managing FMCG or Retailer Own Brands at a senior level
  • Highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with laser customer focus and a passion for Brands
  • Strong presentation skills, being able to write and deliver presentations to stakeholders at all levels with an ability to story tell
  • Able to strategically lead and influence cross-functionally with strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate confidently at all levels
  • Be passionate about product and doing the right thing for our customers
