Translate the Property & Retail / ADS strategy into insight that supports strategic activity as well as the business needs ensuring clear set of value driven deliverables. Own the relationship with senior business stakeholders to ensure deliverables are agreed and understood. Grow, lead, motivate and direct a team of BI & Insight professionals to design and implement solutions

 

Your role:

  • Define and own the geospatial insight and agree value driven deliverables with senior stakeholders
  • Lead a team who proactively explore and harness new data and ideas to provide insight and recommendations which can lead to value opportunities for the business. Ensure customer, financial and market factors are considered throughout
  • Lead a team to construct a best in class analytics toolkit allowing for quick diagnosis into performance trends, issues and opportunities
  • Lead the team and stakeholders ensuring embedment of recommendations, insight and new tools into ways of working across the business supporting with change management and deployment
  • Own principals of how projects are managed from start to completion driving timelines and deliverables whilst overseeing the build process
  • Manage resource in an agile way, project managing the roadmap to deliver value, but also ensuring the ability to respond to in the moment opportunities
  • Lead the team to ensure a robust and flexible platform of geospatial, market and customer data and systems that facilitates analytical capability and insight discovery. Focus on optimisation of processes to drive efficiency
  • Leading, supporting and developing a high performing team of managers and analysts
  • Leadership in defining and shaping new data and technology needs as Asda progresses through the digital transformation program

 

About you:

  • You will have a deep understanding of Business Intelligence tools and ways of working including data management, analytical techniques and building and delivering insight. Specifically in this role you will have significant knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) & utilising Alteryx for spatial datasets
  • Strong commercial acumen and critical thinking with an ability to understand how a business operates and be able to translate into data and technology needs as well as provide thoughtful business insight
  • The ability to lead, develop and motivate a high performing team. Organising the team to work together in an effective way to deliver business products
  • An ability to influence, communicate and present at all levels
  • Experience in developing visualisation tools such as Power BI and advanced knowledge of analytical and statistical concepts
  • An understanding of data warehousing as well as demonstrated history of working with any of the following: SQL, R, Python, cloud environments (eg. Azure)
  • Advanced Alteryx skills – utilising for maintaining and analysing geospatial datasets.
