“Find your role”  

 We have an exciting opportunity to join Asda Cybersecurity team in an environment where change is rapid and constant, with a high volume of work and challenge.  

In this role you will support on the management of identified risks that come out of our risk analysis reviews on proposed systems and solutions. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting the timely remediation of vulnerabilities identified by security scanning and testing.  At times, there will be an expectation to support the wider team with a variety of tasks, to aid development and support the ongoing success of our function.

This role requires a results orientated individual who can drive performance and hold others to account. This can also be quite reactive and requires someone to be able to respond quickly and drive remediation. 

Whilst there is not a requirement for the successful individual to be a security expert, we are looking for a candidate who has an interest in this area, is an independent thinker with a passion for learning and self-development.  This Role reports into Risk Vulnerability & Compliance Manager.

  • Work with the Risk Analysts and Security SMEs for the handover and management of risks and vulnerabilities
  • Support and understand, articulate and drive remediation plans with the business & technical teams 
  • Providing regular updates on risk & vulnerabilities
  • Translating technical speak into business-friendly language and attending regular business area meetings to raise awareness of their open risks & vulnerabilities.
  • Creating and populating reports in line with Risk and Vulnerabilities within our remit, ensuring precise measures and true reflection of stats.

What you'll need 

  • A basic understanding of security technology and how it reduces or eliminates risk in an enterprise. 
  • Knowledge of, and an interest in, security risk analysis for technical solutions, combined with an ability articulate them clearly both verbally and in written form.
  • A customer focussed attitude with excellent communication and networking  (people)  skills. 
  • A passion for problem solving.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A relish for challenging conversations with the ability to conduct them with calm authority but tenacious fervour. 
  • Track record of working cross functional resource along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good understanding when to escalate and flag issues to line manager.
  • Taking ownership of a situation and driving to remediation.  
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Experience with Service Now and One Trust would be beneficial but not essential.
