As the Privacy Rights Administration Assistant you'd be working as part of Asda's fast paced Privacy Team. You'll be responsible for responding to contacts received through to our customer facing mailbox. You'll support with producing responses to customer requests, which will include reviewing and preparing information to send. 

 

Working closely with our Privacy Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers and colleagues should they wish to contact the Privacy Team to raise a query, discuss a concern, request information, or exercise their Privacy Rights.

We're looking for someone with a strong background in written customer service who is ready to take their career to the next level by specialising in Privacy. We have a proven track record in qualifying and promoting candidates in this particular entry level position to develop them into genuine Privacy professionals. We don't ask you to arrive as a Privacy expert – all we need you to bring is a passion for delivering really great customer service, strong organisational skills and a confidence in producing written communications.

 

Your role

  • Co-ordinating our Data Protection inbox - reviewing, responding to and escalating contacts from customers and colleagues.
  • Accurately recording Data Subject Rights Requests and complaints received via the Data Protection inbox.
  • Work closely with our business partners to respond to requests within required time periods.
  • Using our bespoke Privacy Tools (OneTrust) to record, monitor and manage the information relevant to Data Subject Requests and incidents.
  • Supporting the team to maintain records of processing and connected assessments.
  • Providing advice and guidance to the business on Privacy related matters.
  • Participating in external networking and learning opportunities, showing an active interest in new or emerging topics to “horizon scan”.
  • Maintaining positive and engaging business partnerships.
  • Supporting the team in responding to contact from our regulator and supporting investigations into Privacy related complaints.

 

About You

  • You'll have a strong background in written customer service with great communication skills
  • You'll pay strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • You'll have strong time management skills and be able to work in an organised and methodical way - this is a busy role, so you'll have experience in planning and prioritising your own workload
