George Brand PR Manager FTC Contract (C10 Fashion) MATERNITY COVER
Are you looking for a new challenge that gives you the chance to get creative and use your knowledge of the fashion industry to take George at Asda's visibility to the next level? The George PR team are looking for a George Brand PR Manager to cover an upcoming maternity leave (starting September 2023).
Job Introduction
As an integral part of the team responsible for PR at George, you will support the delivery of the overall PR strategy with a focus on amplifying the fashion categories. As PR Manager you will be responsible for an ongoing drumbeat of brand amplification, whilst being responsible for the day to day delivery of proactive and positive media coverage across a variety of media communication channels.
- Work alongside the Senior PR Manager to deliver the PR strategies for George fashion
- Ensure consistent visibility of George fashion categories via organic media and social engagement
- Lead the strategy for Product//Product curation. Focusing on delivering consistent and strong results both in print and online
- Collaborate with Lifestyle and Sustainability teams to deliver 360 results to enhance George's position in newness and innovation
- Identify new opportunities and strengthen George's relationships locally and nationally, across Editor, Stylist, VIP, People of Influence and Creator network.
- Manage day to day activity with PR agency, Coelho Comms
- Partner with business divisions including Buying, Marketing, Editorial, SEO & Affiliates to provide dual-purpose support to the business – driving traffic to George.com
- Work alongside the wider George brand team, supporting them to ensure products are always well represented and in the right publications both in print and online
- Be an expert in the Fashion landscape, and an ambassador for George internally and externally
The Ideal Candidate
- At least five years' experience at agency or in house
- Strong relationships with a range of fashion & lifestyle media contacts
- Proven ability to generate high quality media coverage with a 360-comms approach
- Ability to work on multiple projects across categories at any one time
- Excellent creative writing and presentation skills
- Understanding of working across teams and with many internal and external stakeholders to deliver business objectives
- Enthusiasm and interest in sustainability, particularly within Fashion
