Asda are currently going through one of the biggest retail transformations in the world and as a result, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Transformation Manager to help us navigate through this exciting period of change.

As Commercial Transformation Manager you will lead delivery of some of the commercial projects within the Future program – implementing new systems and capabilities following our separation from Walmart.

This is a key role working as part of the Commercial Transformation team, reporting to the Senior Manager responsible for delivering the core systems implementation. You will own the planning, development and implementation of key commercial systems capabilities aligned to the overall objectives of the Future Program.

 

The Role

As the Commercial Transformation Manager, you will be responsible for managing commercial initiatives to overall Future Program timelines and ensuring the new systems and processes are fit for purpose for the buying and wider Asda team.

You will lead on the design, development, testing, training and roll out of your initiatives to the commercial teams and you will manage cross functional delivery teams to drive the delivery of the program outcome.

You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the Commercial function, Suppliers, finance, supply chain, tech, Future Program and technology vendors to drive the deliverables of the program activities and you will attend relevant forums, meetings and briefings to provide updates and presenting to the cross functional stakeholders, Commercial teams, and Suppliers.

 

About You

  • You will have buying experience and strong knowledge of key commercial processes including item set up, pricing, promotions and funding, with experience of Asda preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand and deal with complex problems and be able to make decisions at pace when required
  • Ability to work cross functionally, challenging and influencing a diverse set of stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • A self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a fast paced, changing, and often ambiguous environment
  • Excellent listener who can work collaboratively at pace to implement cross functional solutions
