Business Data Cleansing Analyst – 12 month fixed term
Reporting to the People Business Data Cleansing Lead within the Future programme, the Business Cleansing Analyst will carry out data checks and audit corrections to our source systems and in load files as required to support the delivery of the new HR systems. As the project progresses through the various stages, this role is responsible for supporting the migration of data to the new HR systems, identifying data quality challenges and put procedures in place to resolve these at source, ensuring that the data in the new People system is accurate and fit for purpose.
Please note this is an 12-month secondment / fixed term position, but a high percentage of our fixed term colleagues secure permanent opportunities along the way.
Your Role
- Contributing to the new HR system build and data load, lead in the identification of data sources for data loads and mapping of data from current systems to the new HR systems and record flows of data between HR applications for both current and new HR systems
- Analyse and identify potential data gaps and propose plan to address and fill the gaps including change impact assessments to ensure all end to end data flows are considered
- Cleanse source data as required and liaise with People Services to update procedures to maintain data quality, accuracy and integrity
- Support with the testing and validation of data and reporting
- Work alongside and collaborate with colleagues in the Future Programme, HRSS and the People Centre of Expertise teams to manage data quality including input into the Master Data Dictionary
About You
- Knowledge of HR policies, process and practice including understanding of current business data, sources and processes for changing data
- Experience of HR systems/projects or HR system implementation
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data and excel
