You will be working in the ALS Finance team and supporting the Asda Logistics Services (ALS) function to identify, build and deliver financial reporting, insight and analysis to the ALS Finance team and ALS business leaders. Supporting business decision making to drive improvements across all areas of the ALS balanced scorecard, ensuring that data and insight are at the heart of the ALS function.

Key Accountabilities
•    Improve the ALS functions understanding of performance by creating, measuring, & providing KPIs with insight that allow for a continuous improvement.
•    Collation of weekly scorecard for senior leadership involving KPIs, costs and liaising with Finance Managers across the logistics network to understand anomalies.
•    George.Com Delivery scorecard tracking of weekly parcel movements through each channel and ensuring parcel rates are accurate.
•    ToYou parcel services – collate weekly forecast, profitability by client and regular review of client risk. 
•    Wholesale & Convenience – weekly tracking of logistics costs and sales, liaising with operators to understand outliers and where to improve profitability. 
•    Work in an agile way, retaining the ability to respond to ‘in the moment' opportunities.
•    Work with stakeholders and end users to resolve any process issues and implement solutions.
•    Proactively communicate known challenges and manage expectations


Skillsets required
•    You will have an aptitude for working with numbers and large data sets, be an advanced user of MS Excel and have an awareness and interest in data blending and data visualisation tools such as Alteryx, Tableau and Power BI.
•    You will be Analytical and have a curious mind-set to develop and improve current systems and ways of working.
•    You will have strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    You will be a team player with the ability to build rapport with both external stakeholders and colleagues.
•    You will be a proactive self-starter with a positive growth mindset who enjoys working at pace.
•    You will be comfortable participating in discussion to influence others.
