The Accounts Team Leader within our Asda Service Centre Finance team provides a great opportunity to be part of one of the UK's largest Accounts Payable teams.  This role is excellent for candidates looking to develop their leadership skills. It's a 12 month FTC.

The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring all documents are processed accurately and on time, collection of monies due to Asda and providing great customer service to a wide range of internal and external customers.

Your Role

  • large team of Accounts Assistants
  • Provide coaching and developmental support to colleagues to ensure they reach their full potential
  • Initiating and driving process improvements
  • Providing technical support to customers
  • Working cross functionally to deliver projects and new initiatives
  • Delivery of agreed KRA's (Key Result Area's) within SLA (Service Level Agreements)

About you

  • You'll possess enthusiasm, commitment and be driven to succeed
  • You'll need to be a confident communicator and have the ability to influence at all levels, enabling you to develop strong working relationships
  • You'll be passionate about delivering great results and doing the right thing
  • You'll be resilient and tenacious with a ‘can do' attitude
  • You'll have a flexible approach with a desire to challenge process and identify control and operational improvements
  • Ideally you'll possess excellent Excel skills
  • You should have good attention to detail and the ability to get things right first time
  • You'll have previous team management experience
