Job Title: Operations Coordinator

Location: Leeds – Hybrid working (FT – 3 days a week in Home Office)

Department: Asda Money, Mobile and Gift Card Business Unit

Reports To: Asda Money, Mobile and Gift Card Operations Manager

Role Overview: We are looking for an organized and proactive Operations Coordinator to focus on governance and compliance coordination, with additional responsibilities in light project management. This role is essential in ensuring that our operations meet regulatory and business standards while supporting strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Governance and Compliance Coordination:
    • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain and enforce governance and compliance frameworks.
    • Assist in the development, updating, and dissemination of policies and procedures.
    • Monitor compliance activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
    • Follow-up and Support the wider Team on Governance and Compliance requirements to ensure that the Money and Mobile Business Unit remains compliant and our Business Unit Director is informed of and has signed off on Risk Management and Change Controls.
    • Support internal audits by coordinating data collection and documentation.
  • Operational Coordination:
    • Act as a central point of coordination for compliance-related requirements, reporting and facilitation.
    • Liaise between departments to ensure smooth communication and alignment on governance initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate records and reporting for governance and compliance metrics.
  • Project Management Support:
    • Assist in the planning and execution of light-touch projects, ensuring objectives and deadlines are met.
    • Prepare project documentation, agendas, and progress updates for stakeholders.
    • Coordinate tasks, track milestones, and flag potential issues.
    • Risk and Issues Logs at a Business Unit Level and a Head of Level
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for streamlining governance and compliance processes.
    • Collaborate with teams to implement best practices and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in governance, compliance, or operational coordination, ideally within financial services or telecommunications.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, or Monday.com).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical skills to monitor metrics and identify areas for improvement.
