This role is to manage a new set of IT service design & transition deliverables relating to Asda's largest programme delivery.  The key focus is to ensure all services that are delivered into the live operation are implemented in a controlled manner and are fit for purpose.

 

You'll join the team on a 12 month fixed term position.  As the technology team is set to grow dramatically, a number of other exciting new roles will become available in future.

 

Your Role

 

  • Manage the Service Design and Transition of a portfolio of projects – reviewing, contributing and being responsible for the relevant project documentation throughout the Technology Lifecycle.
  • Manage the transition of new or changed services into production, ensuring that they meet the standards and criteria for implementation into the production environment.
  • Identify and communicate any issues and/or risks to the Project Team (Technology & Business) and Technology Service Teams.
  • Manage relationships with all relevant Technology stakeholders to communicate the progress with transition activities/ deliverables.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements are in place and fit for purpose.
  • Responsible for input into the vendor management process for creation of service schedules associated with new or amended services.
  • Responsible for setting and agreeing service acceptance and warranty exit criteria and facilitating warranty meetings after the go live of new or changed services, ensuring effective warranty and utility is being delivered.
  • Ensure all first year maintenance costs, both resource and maintenance, are confirmed, approved and communicated to the relevant Service Owners.
  • Ensure service walkthroughs take place to ensure that service operations are adequately prepared to support the new or changed services.
  • Member of the Technical Design Authority to ensure that service is engaged for future projects and non-functional requirements are built into the design of a new or changed service

 

 About You

  • ITIL Foundation v3 (essential)
  • ITIL Service Design (desirable)
  • ITIL Service Transition (desirable)
  • Managing a portfolio of projects
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Experience of setting Service Acceptance criteria & Warranty Exit criteria and leading reviews
  • Experience of risk management
