Senior UX Designer (Visual UI Design)

Do you have a real passion for UX Design and interested in working within a team that's grown year on year with the opportunity to progress further?

This is a newly created role as we grow the UX function.   We are planning to bring user-centered design to the heart of the organisation to ensure our customers have the best shopping experiences. We have UI designers, content designers and user researchers all working collaboratively to share their learnings to help the business deliver shopping solutions to meet user needs. From personas to design systems, journey maps to stakeholder workshops, your days will be varied to keep you entertained in our hyper-collaborative working culture.

Your Role

  • Working closely with user experience designers and researchers, business and product management teams to convert project requirements into high-quality user interactions and interface designs.
  • Adopting best practice in usability and user interface design and providing design guidelines to the wider business teams.
  • Creating and working with design templates to create and maintain a scalable and consistent web site
  • Creating accurate, clear specifications for engineering team members
  • Demonstrable knowledge of wireframes, prototypes, website interface and interaction design
  • A strong grasp of responsive website design
  • A good understanding of effective usability and interface design techniques and best practices
  • A good working knowledge of platform constraints, browsers and accessibility guidelines.
  • A portfolio of work from pencil and whiteboard to wireframes and prototypes (blogs, dribble, behance etc)



About You

  • Strong UX Design background
  • Experience designing for responsive web, android and iOS mobile apps.
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of visual accessibility compliance.
  • Knowledge & experience of eCommerce an advantage.
