As we separate from Walmart, we're building a completely new, world-class retail technology landscape: eCommerce platforms, retail stores point-of-sale and inventory systems, supply chain, distribution and warehouse management systems, new buying and merchandising, financial and state of the art people systems as well as the latest in data and workplace technologies.

 

We are looking for an experienced SAP Solution Support Lead to join us on a permanent basis to work within our SAP function.

 

About you:

  • Provide an appropriately resourced and skilled organisation that will:
    • Accept the delivered S/4HANA solution from the Programmes, and future projects/change releases.
    • Provide integrated, seamless support
    • Deliver operational stability and service excellence to the user community
    • Act as the single point of contact for vendors delivering support services across the integrated SAP application landscape
    • Enable the Solution Delivery teams to focus on deployments of SAP related programs and projects.
  • Ensures Production support service meets service level requirements, manages TCS from a service delivery perspective. Manages SAP SDMs who manage the service for Asda/George.
  • Accountable for the overall Solution Support capability – including line management of leads, stakeholder management, liaising with service functions outside of the CoE to align on tools and standards. Responsible for continuous process and service improvement.

 

Your role:

  • Establish a Business focused capability that enables the Business to adopt, and efficiently operate the Asda/George ERP solutions, in a compliant and controlled way.
  • Accountable for the SAP solution support capability - budget, process, people, including management of vendor service.
  • Defines and agrees KPIs for Capability (and Functions within) with CoE Lead, to meet Business needs, and align to CoE Mission.
  • Sets up, maintains, improves team structure to enable excellence in delivery, offering opportunity to and developing people, identifying areas for improvement, works with IT/HR/Procurement regarding Vendor service and staff augmentation (flexible resourcing model)
  • Line Management of leads within Capability organisation (SDMs, GRC, 3rd Party Maintenance, TCS Support Service)
  • Targets team with process and operational improvement - engendering sense of ownership and enabling change and improvement
  • Works with Peers in wider IT to standardise processes where appropriate and understand Northstar organisational and strategic direction and impact on CoE.
  • Oversees resource plans across functions within Capability
  • Defines and manages CoE strategic direction, as part of the CoE Leadership team
  • Decision maker and escalation point for complex decisions within Capability
  • Accountable with Functional Change and Development Lead for design of supportable solutions, and effective solution transition into support.
  • Regularly cascades information from Business, IT, and CoE leadership to team leads and wider team
  • Manages Vendor to Application Maintenance service levels across Asda and George solutions end to end.
  • Escalation point for SAP CoE service issues for the Business.
  • Manages SAP SDMs to ensure service improvements are identified and planned across Business areas.
