The Project Analyst will join our existing team and will be responsible for assisting senior members of the team with managing complex projects or be responsible themselves for managing elements of a project (workstreams).  You may be responsible for a number of activities in parallel, helping to contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall project delivery team.  The team delivers a diverse portfolio of projects that enable technology across all areas of the Asda business.

The Role

As the Project Analyst, your responsibilities would include managing specific project workstreams on behalf of a Project Manager, maintaining project plans and prioritisation of project activity to meet the overall business project objectives, managing the project stage gates in accordance with the Asda project management best practice and the IT Lifecycle (Waterfall / Agile) methodologies, ensuring compliance with local and global IT standards and preparing and delivering regular project communications to all key stakeholders. You would also be responsible for administration/reporting tasks such as maintaining the project risk log, ensuring appropriate actions are in place to manage the risks in accordance to their priority and co-ordinating key project resources.

About You

  • Proven record of interpersonal and communication skills, managing risk and the appropriate escalation
  • Experience of managing a small team of cross functional resources (Desirable)
  • Proven track record of project delivery using a project methodology and lifecycle (Desirable)
