People Policy Advisor (C8 – maternity cover Fixed Term, full-time)

 

Do you have experience of HR Policies? Are you looking to make a career step-change?

 

Our Home Office People Policy team play a huge part in our business to protect our colleagues and our business. You will be part of a wider Reward Team and work very closely with the People Future Tower who are on an exciting journey to build the new People system, strategy, and processes for the business in this exciting time of change. You will collaborate with the team and different stakeholders across the business to ensure our People Policies are up to date and accurate with business and legislation changes.

 

 Your Role

  • Knowledge of HR policies, processes, governance, compliance, and technology
  • Work alongside and collaborate with colleagues in Future, HRSS, and the People Centre of Expertise teams to align on policies/knowledge documents, training, and communications
  • Participate and actively contribute to the team's projects and help with communications and driving action plans
  • Ensures documentation/update of all policies, systems, and service offerings as a result of policy, process, or system change
  • Adhere to all Governance principles and ensure all necessary documentation, plans and stage gates/sign off points are adhered to
  • Challenge the business to simplify new and existing policies and related documents to help create a simpler business

 

 

About You

  • Written skills and content design/delivery (skilled on word and excel)
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of People policies and other  People guidelines/process documents
  • Stakeholder and vendor management
  • Problem solving skills – logical approach
  • Prioritisation in a fast-paced environment
  • Negotiation and influencing at all levels
