Much more than you imagine

Mobile Contact Lens Optician, Asda Healthcare

A Mobile Contact Lens Optician will take the opportunity to work across a number of our optical departments and enjoy the challenge. This will provide you with variety across your working week and the opportunity to fulfil the contact lens requirements across our diverse Customer base and locations. You'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of teams who will play a vital part in your success and that of the branches you work in.

Your Role

As an experienced Contact Lens Optician, you'll know how important it is to be able to spend time with patients, listen to their lifestyle needs and then help them find the most appropriate Contact Lens option. You'll know that this time, and focus, can make all the difference to helping people make the switch from glasses – and you will be a real advocate for the difference that contact lenses can make with them and our Teams.

It's all part of our drive to enhance our growing reputation for being the opticians that really puts customers first. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and clinical care. We are highly competitive in the market on price for our Contact lenses and spectacles which is reflected in our unique fixed price approach. Single vision glasses are the same price as varifocals here and there are no top-up costs for anti-scratch or thinner lenses either, so you never have to compromise a customer's experience because of what they can afford.

About You

Working in partnership with an Optical Manager (a qualified Dispensing Optician), you'll be focused on creating an environment where clinical and operational excellence go hand in hand, with an awareness of the commercial benefits to the Departments. Building capacity and experience within the team to support the development of our contact lens business, focusing on new wearers, existing and those choosing ASDA Opticians on-line . You'll also be excited by the prospect of providing extended hours services so we can be there for our customers at a time that suits them.

You'll be:

  • A fully qualified dispensing opticians registered with the GOC
  • On the Specialist Contact Lens Register
  • On track with CET

The Rewards

You will also get an excellent benefits package including:

  • Discretionary company bonus
  • Company pension up to 7% matched
  • 10% colleague discount, free parking and many additional rewards
  • Your professional indemnity insurance
  • GOC fees paid
  • CET package
  • Flexible working patterns in accordance with 7 day opening

Please note: Each shift has an unpaid compulsory meal break.
