Are you passionate about personalisation and loyalty and looking for an opportunity to use your skills to work on a large-scale Loyalty programme for a top Retailer? 

The role 

This role sits within Asda Loyalty in the CRM team. Working closely with our team members & our Decision Science & Analytics teams to define and understand business needs, translating these into Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) deliverables. 

You will be required to design and implement automated solutions utilising Marketing Cloud SQL, API integration and SSJS working closely alongside our SFMC Data Manager & Data Analyst. 

Design solutions for automated journeys utilising Journey Builder, ensuring Contact Builder configuration is used where appropriate. 

Creation of front-end email templates and cloud pages, utilising knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AMPscript. 

Produce technical documentation and specifications for all developments, working within Agile development cycles.  Managing the SFMC backlog. 

Manage end-to-end development testing, based on our standard testing framework and taking part in peer review to test work carried out by other developers. 

Collaborate with internal data engineering teams across the business to deliver high quality solutions. 

You'll have the opportunity to enhance the day to day features used across the entire team through integrating with 3rd party applications (through the SFMC app-exchange & custom integrations). 

 

Essentials 

  • 3+ years experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform 
  • Extensive Marketing Cloud Development experience 
  • Be comfortable guiding teams on best practices 
  • HTML, SQL and AMPscript, experience  
  • Experience setting up omnichannel journeys and automations in Salesforce Marketing Cloud 
  • Have a good understanding of the features within SFMC and how they interact with each other to get the most out of the platform. 
  • Experience in a fast-paced evolving landscape where continuous improvement is necessary. 
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and the various stages involved. 
  • Experience integrating applications from the SFMC app exchange and creating custom integrations. 
  • The ability to understand business requirements and translate them into solutions. 

Desirables 

  • Experience working with projects at scale. 
  • Awareness of systems thinking, and the impact decisions have. 
  • Experience in working with Information Security and Legal teams. 
  • Understanding of data governance requirements. 
  • Visibility of SFMC product backlog and coming features/enhancements. 
  • Marketing Cloud certifications preferred
