We're looking for an experienced MIBI Manager to join the Asda toyou ALS Data Insight & Analytics team. You'll be working with a highly motivated team and report to the Manager - Data Insight & Analytics. You will lead a cross-functional analytics team, using Agile methodologies to enable data driven benefits.

 

Your Role

  • The core of this role will involve managing and working with a team of analysts to deliver accurate and timely reporting through a variety of technologies to a broad group of internal customers.
  • Be accountable for scope, design and building reports / dashboards to support the growth of toyou and ALS
  • Provide visibility of parcel movement, logistics (transport / warehouse) & customer behaviour to all operational, client, service and 3rd party teams to unlock value.
  • Provide insights & identify opportunities within the end to end solution to drive business decisions, efficiencies (EDLC) and improve the customer experience
  • Owning and managing the development team plan. Overall responsibility for creating and keeping the development plan up to date and accurate.
  • Providing technical advice and line management for colleagues in the team.
  • Raising/progressing changes/incidents for the support team and following up to resolution.
  • Escalating blockers that cannot be controlled by the development team or are at risk of being delayed to your Line Manager
  • Attending (ad hoc) stakeholder meetings to understand context/wider picture

 

About You

  • Have a background in data insights and analytics
  • Experience leading on complex projects
  • Proficient in SQL coding
  • Experience in Power BI, with an understanding of data modelling, complex DAX writing/optimisation and translating business requirements into powerful visualisations.
  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft Azure and Alteryx tooling, preferably with hands on experience
  • Experience of managing teams to deliver quickly and accurately
  • Proven track record in developing Reports/Dashboards/Workflows in IBM Cognos, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Stack, Alteryx, etc.
  • An understanding of data transformation and warehousing, as well as demonstrated history of working with any of the following: Oracle Essbase/SQL/Teradata/Tableau /Alteryx.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with experience of project work, enabling you to handle tight deadlines.
  • Be passionate about driving the Business Intelligence agenda in ASDA, recognising the potential to drive decision making and storytelling through quality accessible data.
  • Strong communication skills to enable you to effectively communicate at the right level with technical, non-technical and senior business stakeholders alike
