What is Asda Logistics Services?
Asda Logistics Services (ALS) looks after all logistics services within Asda. We are the largest In-house logistics division within the retail sector. Our operation runs 24/7 all over the UK and supports our Ambient, Chilled & Non-Food networks. ALS is home to 19000 colleagues across 25 locations in the UK. Our depots are at the heart of our business and are responsible for ensuring our stores are fully stocked and our customers can get everything they need. Whether it's supporting our large stores or even our online/home shopping facilities, all this is only possible because Asda has a world class logistics operation.

What is a Degree Apprenticeship?
A degree apprenticeship enables you to gain a full undergraduate degree while you work. Degree Apprenticeships take three to four years to complete, depending on the course level. You'll spend most of your time working and you'll also study part-time at Sheffield Hallam University. For example, you might  go to university one or two days per week, or in short blocks, such as a week at a time. Overall, you spend about 20% of your time studying vs. 80% of your time working.

The Degree Apprenticeship Scheme.
This opportunity offers apprentices at ASDA on-the-job, real-world experience across Warehousing and Warehousing Management, and acquiring knowledge of our wider departments like Human Resources, Finance, and Health & Safety.
The degree apprenticeship scheme is designed to support our core operation. You will be based in one of ASDA's warehouse depots local to the region you currently live in, this is where you will learn the operation from the ground up.
You will be supported by a strong development programme and mentor network with lots of opportunity to make your mark.

Entry requirements?
112 UCAS points from A levels (including at least 64 points from two A levels). GSCE Grade 4 above or equivalent, in Math's and English are government requirements for all apprenticeships. For candidates who do not have these equivalent qualifications (or cannot provide evidence) will need to complete functional skills. The training provider will support with this learning alongside your apprenticeship programme.

What are we looking for?
You must be enthusiastic and have a passion towards a logistics focused degree apprenticeship programme. We are looking for individuals who are hungry to learn and grow with our business. The industry is constantly changing and
therefore the ability to innovate and adapt is essential. If you can show examples of where you have had to find solutions to problems in a challenging environment, then that would be ideal.

Finally, we appreciate leaders and people who have real confidence. Therefore, examples of leading teams or achieving  success as an individual would also help. As part of your application process, please take some time to answer the following
and either include as part of your CV or attach as a cover note, within your cover note please include relevant experience of logistics along with the skills and personal qualities you would bring to the role? (50-100 words)
