Having transitioned to new ownership, Asda continues to undergo transformational change, including significant acquisitions. Not only does the business have ambitious plans for growth, but we are also implementing an entirely new technology ecosystem as we separate from our former parent, Walmart. As part of the Internal Audit and Risk Management team, you will be at the forefront of supporting the business through this change; providing insight to effectively manage the associated risks and ensuring that the opportunities this presents are fully realised. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building technology audit capability within a well-established internal audit team.
Your Role:
Reporting into the Internal Audit Manager - Technology, you will work as part of a team to deliver risk-based audits, value-add advisory work, risk management reviews and will be ideally placed to support the business through this period of change through being involved in business partnering Asda functions.
About You
- You will have at least 2-3 years relevant experience, such as internal or external audit, risk, or IT, either in a commercial environment or in an accountancy practice.
- You will have good knowledge of IT general controls and IT automated controls.
- You will be comfortable managing your own workload to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- You will be able to demonstrate good attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
- You will be able to demonstrate agility and will be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.
- You will be great at working in teams, collaborating with others and building relationships with stakeholders.
- You will be curious and interested to learn and develop.
- Experience and knowledge in core IT platforms, cyber security and cloud technology would be preferable.
- Part or fully qualified in a relevant qualification (e.g. IIA, ACA, ACCA etc)
