We are looking for someone who's passionate about driving change, with experience in process design and continuous improvement, to join Asda's Retail Business Intelligence team within the Insight pillar. You will be part of a small team within a larger data and analytics function You will be working with colleagues at multiple levels that include our senior colleagues, collaborating on projects that utilise the huge array of data Asda holds. You will combine this data, with knowledge of our business and processes, to develop and deliver clear and actionable insights that will inform decisions to improve processes, help drive market share and increase the overall profitability of Asda through increased sales, improved efficiency, and cost reduction.
Your Role
- As part of the Retail BI team, you will identify & scope opportunities for operational improvements
- Work with partners in the retail transformation program to develop requirements & opportunities from the front line
- Collaborate as a team to develop specific, actionable insight within agreed timescales
- Support change implementation through stakeholders based on insight you provide
- Agree governance to measure the deliverable benefit
- Push yourself & the team to continuously improve performance through learning & development
About you

- A pro-active and inquisitive approach to identifying opportunities to improve working processes and systems, having the confidence to question the status quo
- Process/Value stream mapping & analysis
- Retail experience in a large retailer or in an operations role in supply chain or logistics. Ideally inprocess improvement within these sectors
- Being comfortable communicating at the right technical level to influence stakeholders
- Either a proven ability or a strong desire and willingness to develop skills in range of technical products, including but not limited to PowerBI, Excel & SQL
- Passion about Business Intelligence, recognising the potential to drive decision making and storytelling through quality accessible data
- An ability to manage a complex workload of projects & deliver insight quickly when opportunities present themselves
