Are you interested in taking on a challenge to set the direction and lead reporting and visualisation activity within the Asda Future Transformation Programme?

To enable you to achieve this, you will need significant, multi domain, reporting and visualisation experience within a large organisation experience.

This role is an opportunity to be part of one of the largest retail transformation programmes in the world. You will be responsible for leading the rationalisation of our existing reporting estate and transition to a new suite of KPI, leading indicator and outcomes focussed reports, on next generation systems and toolsets for one of the UK's leading retailers.

This is a varied leadership role where you are responsible for leading the organisation on a journey to define a new set of reporting metrics and solutions that support and drive the overall company strategy

Part of the Future Data Transformation team you will work with business leaders, engineering teams and SME's to define and implement a new reporting and visualisation ecosystem for Asda

You'll join the team on a 2 year fixed term position.  As part of this programme, the technology operating model will be transitioned to become self-sufficient from Walmart, which as a consequence will offer many further exciting opportunities in the form of new roles during this time.

Your Role

  • Develop, socialise and obtain agreement for the Asda Future reporting and visualisation strategy.
  • Work with the Future Transformation business teams (Towers), senior leaders and SME's to define an appropriate set of top level KPI's for the organisation
  • Based on the company KPI's, work with the appropriate business leads to define and develop the KPI and reporting pyramid down to management level that provide the right information to understand and drive business performance
  • Lead the work with our chosen vendor, engineering teams and Tower SME's on developing Future reporting solutions
  • Push hard on the rationalisation and decommission of existing redundant/underutilised reporting to reduce what needs to be migrated
  • Identify opportunities where self-serve data sets and appropriate tooling can reduce the need for fixed reports
  • Drive discussions, clarification and agreement on the delineation of operational vs Data Ecosystem reporting
  • Work with the relevant teams to manage the migration if any key existing reports to our new Data and Reporting Ecosystem
  • Management of matrix teams, through a safe agile approach, of business product owners, technology colleagues, third party and SI resources
  • Team and colleague development and recruitment as appropriate
  • Driving an inclusive and supporting culture within the team and our SI's

 

 

About You

  • Extremely strong data, reporting and visualisation background, you will be proactive, resilient with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge and in-depth usage of cloud native, industry leading reporting and visualisation solutions.
  • Hands on experience leading the definition of reporting strategies and transformation of reporting estates in large complex organisations.
