Your Role

Group Technical Delivery Manager – Platform is responsible for engineering, environments, innovation and DevSecOps for the eCommerce platform.   You will manage a team of Agile/Technical Delivery Managers, Engineers and Quality Engineering to ensure business and customer outcomes are delivered on time, to the required quality, stability and availability.

 

  • Manage platform engineering delivery team and work in partnership with the principal engineers to deliver the best outcomes for the business.
  • Manage SRE support teams – defining and implementing our monitoring, automation and stability capabilities.
  • Implementing the new agile target operating model
  • You will support with onboarding a new technology partner to run our ecommerce services, including the transition of support and development activities to them
  • Responsible for the technical roadmap (innovation & enhancements, legal, regulatory and compliance driven requirements)
  • Responsible for eCommerce integration platform and other shared technical platforms
  • Work with architecture and engineering teams to define technology strategy and roadmap for the group of products, to develop a secure, stable and performant ecosystem.
  • Definition & management of the delivery plan for the group of platform services and products, working closely with vendors and internal colleagues to deliver as one team.
  • Unblocking and escalating any technical issues related to the group of products, including liaison with business / vendors as needed. 
  • Working with vendors & build partner to define any mvp/ prototyping / innovation topics. 
  • Management of technical debt and technical roadmap - with build partner and vendors
  • Management of Technology financial plan, contracts and budget managementand forecast for the group of products.
  • Line management and coaching of direct reports i.e., Delivery Managers, Environment Mgr. and Quality Engineering lead.

 

About You

  • Leading and managing at a senior level in a large Technology department
  • Passionate about developing people through learning, trusting and high performing culture.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practical operation within an evolving business
  • Encourage and support experimentation and innovation.
  • Customer focused and understand importance of feedback loop (internal/external)
  • Collaborative working style
  • Relevant industry experience and best practise; Ecommerce experience (desirable)
  • Strong track record of delivery and building new teams
  • Knowledge of associated technology stacks, processes and tooling e.g., CI-CD, Cloud/Hybrid, DevSecOps, shift-left mentality, automation
