As we separate from Walmart, we're building a completely new, world-class retail technology landscape: eCommerce platforms, retail stores point-of-sale and inventory systems, supply chain, distribution and warehouse management systems, new buying and merchandising, financial and state of the art people systems as well as the latest in data and workplace technologies.

 

We are looking for an experienced Functional Change and Development Lead to join us on a permanent basis to work within our SAP function.

 

About you:

  • To enable future, business aligned solutions to be delivered whilst protecting the integrity of the solution from both a process and functional perspective.
  • Accountable for design to deliver of changes and new solutions within the SAP estate., Ensuring people, tools, and processes are effective. Manages a team of Solution leads (functional and development) and works with solution architects, to govern and innovate the solution to deliver Business value.
  • Responsible for the demand to deliver processes for functional solution – assessing change impacts, delivering change (solution enhancements) and ensuring quality processes are followed. Acts as, and manages a team of, functional leads who lead functional analysts for each process area. Works with other Leaders and PMO to identify and hire/augment team as needed.

 

Your role:

  • Manages a team delivering design, configuration and development changes to SAP and related applications as part of ongoing projects or other enhancement initiatives (releases).
  • Accountable for the detailed change impact assessment process, ensuring team appropriately considers all impacts - cross functional, integrated system etc.
  • Sets delivery standards for team, works with solution/development leads to ensure quality of work, ensuring team do not unnecessarily develop the solution where standard SAP can be used (for example).
  • Ensures supportability is built into solution designs (working with Solution Support and Strategy and Architecture.)
  • Participates in roadmap and release planning, to ensure resourcing and skill requirements are understood in advance and actions to augment, or upskill put in place.
  • Works with related functions to ensure requests for functional resource support are understood, planned appropriately, and balanced against other priorities.
  • Helps team understand scope of work, individual responsibilities and integration with other teams.
  • Develops team, with a view to their own and team succession planning.
  • Accountable for Capability - budget, process, people
  • Defines and agrees KPIs for Capability (and Functions within), with CoE Lead, to meet Business needs, and align to Mission.
  • Sets up, maintains, improves team structure to enable excellence in delivery, offer opportunity to and develop people, identify areas for improvement, work with PMO/HR/Procurement regarding staff augmentation (flexible resourcing model)
  • Line Management of leads within Capability organization
