You will join our Decision Science and Data team within ASDA Rewards to manage a team delivering on our audience and personalisation strategy.   You will help us grow the capabilities of new technologies and channels, using analytics and data science to deliver measurable ROI through intelligent audience targeting and testing.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, your work will help bring our customer centric loyalty strategy to life.  As Asda grows its pioneering loyalty programme, ASDA Rewards, you'll be joining at the right time. Leveraging data, analytics and technology is a critical area of our growth plans and you would be at the very heart of this!

 

Your Role:

  • You will work on our audience strategy within DSD (Decision Science and Data).   You will be part of a team which plans and prioritises a roadmap of activities based on proactive, data-driven insight which directly contributes to core business objectives.  You will understand long-term business strategy and broader market landscape. 
  • Exploration of customer, engagement and transactional data to identify and influence the development of data science and analytics products.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to prioritise key data driven projects that will drive the most value for our customers.
  • Work collaboratively with all the teams within Decision Science and Analytics to activate audiences and provide personalised experience to the customers, work with the data strategy team to turn the outputs into products for continuous improvement.
  • Understand how customers behave across different channels within Asda and deploy activation plan effectively
  • Work to reduce inefficiencies in current processes, building consistency and automation in audience definition and activation pathways regardless of output channel.
  • You will be an excellent communicator and organiser, ensuring stakeholders understand the scope of delivery, and the results generated by the work delivered.  

 

About You

  • 2 years+ experience working in CRM / loyalty / personalisation within a high paced, high frequency digital environment (retail / B2C experience desirable but not necessary).
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant STEM discipline
  • Working experience with some of Customer Data Platforms (CDP), Email Service Providers (ESP) and ideally Data Clean Rooms (DCRs)
  • A good understanding and hands-on experience in SQL / Python. Experience of Microsoft Azure / GCP would be a bonus, but not essential.
  • Experience working with 1st party data in a GDPR compliant manner
  • Experience working with large volumes of data
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with Jira in an Agile environment advantageous
  • Ability to research solutions and solve technical issues independently
  • You will be naturally curious, passionate about data, and tech, and doing the right thing for customers
