The Retail Learning Journey

We want everyone who joins our stores to have everything they need to grow into confident colleagues across our departments. That’s what our Learning Journey, split into Ready to Go – Ready to Serve – Ready to Grow, is all about. From your induction to your fifth year with us, it’s designed to support your growth across different roles in our job families, so you develop your skills and join other departments.

Ready to Go

We’ll welcome you into the business, helping you settle in, making sure you have the knowledge and support you need to be confident in your new role.

Ready to Serve

You’ll shadow some of our team members across different roles in our job families, and learn about the different levels in their department or store in bite-sized learning missions. So you can learn, grow, and get the knowledge you need to work in a new department.

Ready to Grow

When you’re ready, you can start thinking about where you want to go next, and what learning you need to grow. And we’ll help you make it happen, and help you develop your skills so you’re ready to grow into your next role.

There's always doors open to career development if you want it. You do have to be self-motivated to progress your own development, but the opportunities are there and you get out of it what you're putting in.
