We welcome interest in an Optical career with ASDA from overseas applicants too. So we’re delighted you’ve found this website and hope you like what you’ve read. Relevant qualifications

We need to ensure your Opthalmic qualification is UK compatible. Therefore you must possess a General Optical Council Registration number. To register with the General Optician Council, please visit:

Work permits/Visa

Also, to join our Optical team, any non-EEA (European Economic Area) national requires a work permit and/or visa to qualify for work in the UK. Unfortunately, because these roles are not classed as a skills shortage in the UK by the Home Office, we’re unable to apply for a work permit on your behalf so securing a work permit would be your responsibility.
