ASDA creates 7,000 jobs

We have announced that we will create more than 7,000 new jobs in 2009

We have also committed that 3,000 of the vacancies will be filled with people who are long-term unemployed. The vacancies will be filled by working with Local Employment Partnerships and Remploy - our recruitment partner for people with disabilities and health conditions. The programme will help provide full and part time roles to thousands of people who have been unemployed for more than six months and are finding it difficult to re-enter the labour market.
