Store Managers

Our ASDA Living stores offer a winning combination of George clothing and general merchandise in a retail park environment. Our Living Store Managers hold responsibility for the whole store in delivering an outstanding customer experience, in driving the store's profitability and ensuring the store performs to its business plan. At the heart of ASDA are our colleagues and we lead and coach a small team of managers in all aspects of their roles who in turn are responsible for training and motivating teams of colleagues. We are the champions of the ASDA culture within our Living stores, ensuring that not only are they a great place to shop but they're a great place to work too.

Operations Managers

Our Operations Managers work hand in hand with the Store Manager and closely with the other managers in store to make sure that our ASDA Living stores offer unbeatable value to our customers, whilst running profitably and efficiently. Part of our role is to influence and coach the management team to forecast and manage all expenditure and costs of their department, so great communication skills are key. We are also responsible for processes in store and for Human Resources, or ‘People’ as we call it, including recruitment and training and managing absence, colleague retention and wage control.

George Managers

Our George Managers are responsible for every aspect of the George clothing department. We lead a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and maximise sales. This includes ensuring the clothing and accessory ranges are available and displayed to their best advantage, managing the colleague base to make sure we have the right people in the right place at the right time and coaching and developing colleagues in their current roles as well as succession planning for the future. Our ASDA Living stores are similar to small department stores and as a result they have a smaller management team. Therefore George Managers have the opportunity to deputise for the Store Manager.

General Merchandise Manager

There’s an enormous range of general merchandise on sale in our ASDA Living stores. From cosmetics to furniture, through to seasonal items like camping equipment or Christmas decorations, to name but a few. So any General Merchandise (GM) Manager should have a real passion for general merchandise products. Leading a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service, you’ll maximise sales through ensuring the shelves are stocked at all times! The management team in our ASDA Living stores is smaller than the team in our supermarkets so you’ll often deputise for the Store Manager meaning you'll have the opportunity to take on wider responsibilities - very few businesses would give you the keys to the front door!
