I joined ASDA on the Finance graduate scheme six years ago after graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Business and Finance.  I’m now in my sixth role which should give you some indication of the pace at ASDA! I found the graduate programme challenging, but equally rewarding. The frequency of role rotation combined with the support to study towards the CIMA qualification proved critical in my career progression.

So, what can you expect? You can look forward to plenty of variety. At ASDA, Finance plays a critical role in the success of our business and I’ve enjoyed supporting lots of different business areas.  From a core accounting and reporting role, through to being commercial finance support for Home Shopping and more recently the food trading team, I've had the opportunity to work with lots of different colleagues and expand my retail knowledge.

I'm now Head of Food Business Development which means I lead the team which supports our food trading team. ASDA has supported me to develop the leadership and other behavioural skills I needed to progress to a senior management level, beginning whilst I was on the graduate scheme and continuing beyond this too. So, if you’re interested in finance, I could soon be helping you to develop your skills on the finance graduate programme!

Outside of work, I enjoy catching up with friends and, as I recently got married, spending time with my husband too!
