What is Asda Reality?

Reality begins with this website and ends with you spending a day at one of our store locations to experience what a leadership level role really involves – and decide if it’s the right career move for you.

Once you’ve done your research on our site, and had a go at the interactive management challenges, you can apply for a role online. That will mean giving us details of your career history, as well as completing some behavioural and ability tests. If we think you’ve got what it takes, we’ll invite you to take part in an assessment day along with up to seven other candidates. We should point out that you won’t be competing with anybody – it’s about being the right fit for Asda.

You’ll meet some of our colleagues and see how we work and you’ll get to understand the real us. At the same time, Reality gives us the chance to see the real you and how you prefer to lead. This involves:

• A shop floor challenge
• A group challenge
• Role plays
• An interview

Reality is also a great opportunity for you to ask lots of questions.

Why is it called Asda Reality?

A Reality session is the best way of finding out what working at Asda is, well, really like. We give you an honest, as-it-is insight into our culture, our business and the role you’re applying for. That way we both know where we stand.
