Here there are three teams, focusing on digital operations, web merchandising and content.
The Operations team makes sure that all our online processes are simple, effective and financially lean. Putting the customer at the heart of all their decision making, they're involved from the point where a product is sourced to the moment it is delivered to the customer's door.
The Web Merchandising team takes care of the look and feel of the Asda Direct website across all the home and leisure products. Essentially the challenge is to make the customer's life easier while maximising our sales potential. We do this using analytical tools to gain insight into customer behaviour while constantly reviewing the digital marketplace to make sure we're at the forefront of web development.
The Web Content team has a big job to do in managing all the product and event information you see on the Asda Direct website, from item descriptions and images to animated demos. They work very closely with our trading floor, suppliers and other teams to make sure everything is accurate, on brand and up to standard.
