What's our advice to you?
The graduates of today are the senior managers of the future and as such your career development is as important to us as it is to you.
Retail is an incredibly fast paced environment in which to work, that means Asda graduates must be flexible and proactive. It’s critical that you can spot opportunities to drive change where it’s needed.
The Asda graduate scheme gives you the opportunity to maximise your potential and take responsibility for your development. You’ll quickly be in a position to contribute to the success of the business and you’ll be doing a “real job” whilst learning and broadening your experience.
My advice is to have faith in your own ability and be prepared to challenge the status quo. Draw upon the experience and knowledge of those around you and, most of all enjoy the programme!
Judith McKenna
Chief Financial Officer
Judith qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London. She joined Asda after a career in the Brewing & Pub Retailing industry in 1996 and has held a variety of roles across finance.
Judith has been Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Board Asda since 2001. She has also managed a number of different operational functions at the retailer, including board responsibility for Property, Construction, Store Development and Format Design.
