As a business, we're always thinking of smarter ways of doing things, and invariably it's a combination of creative thinking and clever technology that make innovation happen. The Asda Price Guarantee, a cornerstone of our current strategy, is a perfect example. Our IT teams worked with a third party to develop a website and i-Phone App as a comparison tool for customers to price-check their shopping against our competitors and be rewarded with a voucher if we're not the cheapest. Then there are projects like the Global Logistics System that's revolutionising our distribution and supply chain operations.
Everywhere you look in retail, technology is changing the landscape, and no-one does it better than Asda. So whether it's working on systems for our Home Office, stores, depots or Ecommerce operations, you'll develop a deep understanding of our business needs and be involved in the design and delivery of step-change projects. You'll work with people and teams throughout Asda on all the innovative ideas and strategies that meet the changing needs of our customers and keep us one step ahead of the competition. Frequent collaboration with third parties and Walmart colleagues from around the world – delivering solutions not just for Asda but also for global Walmart markets – will add extra dimensions to your development and your profile across the business. It's not hard to see why IT is a breeding ground for people in positions of huge influence in key areas of our global business.
Are you a future leader?

You'll deliver solutions that add value and inspire others to do the same. You really don't have to be a technical expert, however you do need to be able to translate complex messages into everyday language for our colleagues and our customers. Team working is another key quality you'll need. Not only day to day with your immediate contacts, but also across the UK and our global family too. As a leader of tomorrow, you'll need the drive and determination to take responsibility for your own development by challenging yourself to do a great job on a daily basis.
What do I need to apply?
We consider applications from Graduates with a minimum of a 2:1 honours degree in any discipline. If you're based in one of our stores or depots you'll need to be endorsed by your GSM/GM and PSM.
Where will I be based?
This role is based at Asda House in Leeds.
