Reward and development

How far could you go?

Asda trucks whizz around the country from 25 depots 24/7/365, delivering the right products to the right stores at the right time so our customers get what they want, when they want. As well as 1.7 million cases of general goods from kitchen pans to the latest CDs and 2.5 million items of George clothing, we also deliver nearly 20 million cases of chilled and packaged food and drink from 25 depots every week. It's an incredibly fast, efficient and sophisticated operation employing around 15,000 colleagues in total. You'll be joining just as we look to take the step up from first class to world class, improving everything from cost control to carbon emissions. The 3-year rotational training scheme will equip you for this challenge.

It starts at our Distribution Academy where you will develop your technical, personal and leadership skills in readiness for your first management role. Now you'll be jointly responsible for a team of up to 100 colleagues, organising people, processes and products to - quite literally - deliver the goods. Progressive moves into other roles will follow, exposing you to the challenges of all the different types of depot – Ambient, Chilled, Clothing and General Merchandise. Like our trucks, the three years will whizz by, and you'll be well on the road to a role as a Depot General Manager…and a world class future.

What do I need to apply?

We consider applications from Graduates with a minimum of a 2:1 honours degree in Logistics or Business Management. If you're an existing colleague you'll require a full endorsement from your GM and PSM or your Line Manager if you're based at Asda House.

Where will I be based?

This role is nationwide; you could work in any of our depots across the UK, so you'll need to hold a full UK Driving License and be able to relocate to different locations throughout the scheme.
