About ASDA Living
Our first Living Store opened in Walsall in 2004 as an exciting new concept in retailing for ASDA. In Living we offer unbeatable ASDA prices on a wide range of non food items, including George clothing, health and beauty products, electrical goods, furniture, homewares and even mobile phones, CDs and DVDs!
ASDA Living stores are two storey shops based in retail park outlets. It's a bit like a small department store stocking clothing, footwear and other non food ranges. In each store we have a Store Manager who leads a team of managers including a George Manager, General Merchandise Manager and an Operations Manager. You can learn more about these roles here.
The team
The managers lead a team of colleagues whose role involves everything from replenishing our shelves to advising customers on electrical products like TVs and mobile phones and delivering a fantastic customer experience.
Our ASDA Living colleagues interact with customers constantly, advising customers about our different products so that the customer can make an informed choice - and not just whether to buy the 32" TV or the big screen 42" inch TV! Therefore it’s really important for our colleagues to be warm, friendly and happy to help.
Growing fast
The Living store set up is a winning format for ASDA and as a result we’ve got exciting expansion plans for it. You can expect to see many more opening all round the UK over the next few years - and many more opportunities arising in them too!

To apply for a shop floor colleague role in any of our existing ASDA Living stores just pop in to your local one when you are nearby and ask for an application form. For any of our new ASDA Living stores, we’ll begin to recruit about 12 weeks before the store is due to open and we’ll do plenty of advertising in your local area to tell you how to apply. Alternatively, we always use Jobcentre Plus, so when we’re ready to start recruiting, they will know all about it, and all about us!
