We open around 20 new supermarkets and ASDA Living stores every year and whenever we do it creates a wide range of opportunities for local people. These are not just roles in the new store, often existing colleagues from nearby stores move to the new ASDA so we need to recruit their replacements too.
We begin to recruit 12 weeks before a store opens, so if you see an ASDA store being built in your area, keep an eye on the local press and for our recruitment banners which start appearing when we're ready to start finding new colleagues.

Here’s some more information about how to apply:
For our new stores, we always use the local Jobcentre Plus. So when we do start to recruit they will know all about it and all about us! You can find out where your local Jobcentre Plus is by calling them on 0845 6060 234. We also do plenty of advertising in the local press and on banners so you won’t be able to miss us! To apply for one of these roles you will need to fill in our paper application form, which the Jobcentre Plus will be able to provide. At the moment, you won't be able to apply online for these roles but this is something we're working on so watch this space!
New store openings create a variety of roles from Home Shopping to Bakery Managers and from George Managers to Night Manager roles and many more. You can apply for retail management roles through this website. The team in the area’s training store will look after your online application and keep you informed of its progress.
